There are still places on Texel where you can enjoy true unspoilt island life in peace and quiet. Our place offers this, with the bonus of fantastic views of Windmill het Noorden - you can't get any closer! - and over nature reserve Drijvers Vogelweid De Bol.
Surrounded by a nature reserve, you can walk across the mill dike to the Wadden Sea within a few minutes. Moreover, in the village of East you will find one of the best restaurants on Texel, within walking distance. And an award-winning terrace within a 1 km walk at Hotel Prins Hendrik. It is a real paradise, also for bird watchers.

Where do we come from?
With roots on the island, we Robert (Borre) and Jet waw Stuifweg 1-3 for sale in 2021.
We decided, after years of urban living in the Randstad (Hilversum, Utrecht), that we should not let this opportunity pass by. We fell in love with this uniquely beautiful place. In the middle of Corona time we packed our stuff and moved to the island. Without a minute of regret so far!
Dog Moetje, a happy and sweet white Golden Retreiver completed our team.
We decided to start ZoWad and build Mill House Beaufort. With respect for the monumental windmill (one of the most photographed places on Texel), the island and its history, we built this fine house in traditional style.
We would like our guests to share what we get to experience every day: how beautiful island life is here!
